How to Complete KYC Verification on Prestmit

You can transact on Prestmit without KYC verification. However, some features require you to complete KYC before they can be accessed.

What is KYC?

KYC (Know Your Customer) confirms your identity on Prestmit. Completing it unlocks higher withdrawal limits and access to additional features.

KYC verification is required to access certain features and services on Prestmit, including:

Go to "Profile" and tap "Verify KYC".
Enter your legal name and date of birth. These must match the document you are verifying with.
Select your verification method (see options below based on your country).
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete verification.

Verification is usually instant. In some cases it may take a few minutes.

For Nigerian users: BVN only

Nigerian users verify using their Bank Verification Number (BVN). This is the only option available for Nigerian accounts.

For non-Nigerian users: Government ID + Selfie

Non-Nigerian users verify using a government-issued ID and a selfie.

On Step 1, tap "Photo + ID".
On Step 2:
- Select "Government ID" as the means of verification.
- Choose your ID type (Passport, National ID, etc.).
- Upload a clear image of your ID.
- Take a selfie to complete the liveness check.
Tap "Proceed".

What if my BVN name doesn't match my account name?

Make sure your name on Prestmit matches exactly what is on your BVN. Update your profile name first if they differ, then retry verification.

Is my BVN data safe?

Yes. Your BVN does not give Prestmit or anyone else access to your bank account. All KYC data is kept confidential under the Prestmit Privacy Policy

What happens if verification fails?

Try a different verification method. If all methods fail, contact support via the in-app live chat for assistance.
