KYC (Know Your Customer) confirms your identity on Prestmit. Completing it unlocks higher withdrawal limits and full access to all features.
Go to "Profile" and tap "Verify Identity".
Enter your legal name and date of birth. These must match the document you are verifying with.
Select your preferred verification method (see options below).
Follow the on-screen instructions to submit the required document.
Verification is usually instant. In some cases it may take a few minutes.
What can I use to verify?
BVN: instant verification using your Bank Verification Number.
VNIN: use the virtual NIN generated from the number linked to your NIN. See About VNIN Verification
Driver's licence: enter your licence number only.
Voter's ID: enter your voter's ID number only.
Any government issued ID like National ID or Passport: For this option, you will be required to upload a clear image of the document and take a selfie for liveness check.
Common questions
What if my BVN name doesn't match my account name?
Make sure your name on Prestmit matches exactly what is on your BVN. Update your profile name first if they differ, then retry verification.
Is my BVN data safe?
Yes. Your BVN does not give Prestmit or anyone else access to your bank account. All KYC data is kept confidential under the Prestmit Privacy Policy
What happens if verification fails?
Try a different verification method. If all methods fail, contact support via the in-app live chat for assistance.
